CE687 piezoelectric accelerometer

Current output: 4 to 20 mA proportional to 0 to 1, 2, 5, 10 or 20 g, −25 to 90 °C, up to 1000 Hz.

The CE687 piezoelectric accelerometer is a general-purpose industry standard 4 to 20 mA loop-powered vibration sensor (vibration transmitter) with a piezoelectric sensing element, integrated electronics and a current output. It is available with a sensitivity of 4 to 20 mA proportional to either 0 to 1, 2, 5, 10 or 20 g, and in standard versions or Ex versions.

The CE687 is designed and manufactured for use in harsh industrial environments, including hazardous areas (potentially explosive atmospheres).

• Designed for general-purpose vibration measurement, typically balance of plant (BOP) machinery such as compressors, gearboxes, motors, pumps and fans
• Industry standard 4 to 20 mA loop-powered vibration sensor (vibration transmitter)
• Quasi-static output signal (4 to 20 mA proportional to 0 to 1, 2, 5, 10 or 20 g) indicating "overall" vibration
• Typically connected to a machinery monitoring system for protection applications and/or a control system such as a DCS or PLC for monitoring and/or control applications
